Getting Involved


Womanspace relies on volunteers for many projects that assist our programs and brings our mission into the community.
Please take a look at our volunteer opportunities and upcoming events.

Current Volunteer Needs

  • We especially need volunteers to fill these positions for Communities of Light, October-December:
    • Distribution Volunteers - Please help us deliver kits & supplies them to neighborhoods and retail outlets as needed.
    • Municipal Lighting Volunteers - On the statewide lighting day, December 13, we need volunteers to help set up the luminaries at neighborhood lightings, particularly those in Princeton and Trenton held by the local government and police departments.

  • Volunteer Highlights for the Holidays:
    • November 14 - An all-day benefit for Womanspace will take place at Dandelion, 47 Palmer Square West, Princeton. 10% of ALL sales that day will be donated to us. Start your holiday shopping early.
    • November 29 - Ten Thousand Villages, Princeton Shopping Center, Noon - 4:00 PM: 10% of ALL sales during this time will benefit Womanspace.
    • December 11 - Barnes & Noble Book Fair - see below!
    • December 13 - at dusk - volunteers are needed to help with municipal lightings, particularly in Princeton and Trenton. Please join us and support Communities of Light!
  • Family Law attorneys, bilingual a plus, are still needed to assist with the Womanspace Legal Clinic.
  • The next 80+ hour training for the Domestic Violence Victim Response Teams and Sexual Assault Advocates begins in late winter/early spring in 2010. Applications are being accepted now for the spring training. Please click here for a job description and application.
